Nadia Gomez

After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Florida, Dr. Nadia Alexandra Gomez received her medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine with clinical honors.

She then completed her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where she was appointed to academic chief resident during her last year.

During her residency, Dr. Gomez served as secretary-treasurer of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) District III Pennsylvania Region and became a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).

Dr. Gomez has given several oral and poster presentations at national and international AAGL conferences. She was awarded the Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology Award presented by the AAGL at her graduation ceremony.

Dr. Gomez returned to Florida after residency to complete advanced training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and pelvic pain. Her fellowship training was completed at Florida Hospital and Cleveland Clinic Florida.

She has now joined the faculty at University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas in the Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery.

Dr. Gomez is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Her clinical research interest includes perioperative and postoperative pain reduction in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Gomez also has a keen interest in vulvovaginal disorders and management of chronic pelvic pain in ethnic minority group.
